VyprVPN is a virtual private network (VPN) service provided by Golden Frog, a company based in Switzerland. A VPN is a service that encrypts a device’s internet connection and routes it through a server in a location of the user’s choosing. This can be used to protect the user’s privacy and security online, as well as to access content that may be restricted in their location. VyprVPN offers a range of VPN plans and features, including support for multiple devices, unlimited bandwidth, and a variety of security protocols. The company claims to operate its own global network of servers, which it says allows it to offer fast and reliable service to its users.

In addition to VyprVPN, Golden Frog offers a range of other internet privacy and security products, including a secure cloud storage service called Dump Truck and a encrypted messaging app called Cyphr.

VyprVPN no logs policy

VyprVPN is officially a no logs VPN that has been audited and verified by an independent third party. In years past, VyprVPN kept connection logs for 30 days. However, a few years back they completely changed their policies to become a completely no-logs VPN, while also going through an audit for verification.

In 2018, VyperVPN completed an in-depth audit by Leviathan Security Group, a leading security consulting firm. According to the audit report, which is available on VyperVPN’s website, Leviathan Security had full access to VyperVPN’s systems and code for several weeks. After thoroughly examining how VyperVPN operates, the auditors found absolutely no evidence that VyperVPN logs or stores any user activity or personal data.

Independent audits like this are crucial for establishing trust in any privacy service or product. Rather than taking a company at their word, audits provide impartial verification from experienced security professionals. The Leviathan Security audit confirms that VyperVPN’s no-logging policy and security protocols are legitimate and backed by action, not just marketing hype. For anyone concerned about widespread government surveillance and data privacy, such an audit is essential when choosing a VPN. The results clearly demonstrate VyperVPN’s commitment to user privacy through technology, policy and transparency.

Referring to the website (https://certida.com/), VyprVPN is based and registered in the United States

    1. Interesting. VyperVPN was originally launched by Golden Frog GmbH but looking at Certida’s LinkedIn, the Director of Technology Michael Douglass was employed by Golden Frog and Giganews for 27 years – both of which are now featured on the Certida website. So this may not have been an acquisition but just rebranding / internal restructuring.
